OCIA: A Sincere Invitation
Do you (or someone you know) seek to learn more about the Catholic Church in order to enter into it? If so, now is the time to contact Dcn Dennis so that the wonderful period of learning can begin.
Each year on Holy Saturday during the Easter Vigil, thousands of men and women are received into the Catholic Church in the United States. Parishes welcome these new members through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults(OCIA), formerly known as Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and at a liturgy bringing men and women into full communion with the Catholic Church.
For information about OCIA schedules, contact Dcn. Dennis Walters (Waltersdennis1940@gmail.com). Please contact him as soon as possible. Typically, instructions leading toward adult baptism or reception of a baptized Christian into the Catholic Church must begin in early September, so that candidates can be fully prepared for reception of the sacraments by the following Easter.
